National Pet Month

National Pet Month is aimed at pet owners to promote responsible pet ownership and make people aware of the benefits of owning pets.

National Pet Month runs from 3rd April to 3rd May 10.

Animal Care Rescue is a local rescue centre serving animals in the Morecambe and Lancaster area. The site gives details of their current appeals, events and animals needing homes. If you can help with any fostering or rehoming or raising funds please give them a call.

The Coalition for improved dog ownership standards is a site linked with Pet Parliament, and is focused on fair dog legislation, animal welfare issues, better information for dog owners, general dog welfare and legislation.

The National Pet Register is a free database developed to provide a quick and easy solution for pet owners to let as many people know about a missing pet. National Pet Register also provides a community with information and member benefits.

 

Pet Food Manufacturers Association

The pet food manufacturers association aims to promote responsible pet ownership, raise standards in the pet food industry and is a good resource for information on pet food.

 

Pet Health Council

The Pet Health Council aims to promote, inform and advise on the health and welfare of pet animals taking into account the interests of both pets and people.

 

Pet Parliament
